How to obtain testnet dUSD
To interact with dTRINITY on Fraxtal Testnet, you must first obtain Fraxtal Testnet dUSD. You can mint testnet dUSD from Stably, the official fiat onramp partner of dTRINITY. Stably has developed a testnet faucet in its sandbox environment that simulates the experience of buying dUSD with bank wires. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to mint testnet dUSD through Stably.
Step 1 - Access the Stably sandbox
Click on the testnet dUSD faucet link above to access the Stably sandbox widget. It should already be preconfigured to buy dUSD with Fedwire (i.e., fake USD), the only available sandbox method to obtain testnet dUSD. Then, click “Proceed” to continue.
Please note that there is a $25,000 weekly limit per account for Fedwire.
Step 2 - Email registration
Enter a valid email address and click “Proceed” to register your Stably sandbox account (free of charge). You will be prompted to enter the OTP code that is sent to your email on the next screen. Then, click “Proceed” to continue.
Step 3 - Mock onboarding
⚠️
Please note that you do not have to go through real KYC onboarding for this step.
Select any account type and click “Continue.” Click “Accept” on the next screen. Then, click “Get Started” to begin mock onboarding. A new window for Persona will open which you can simply exit out of (DO NOT BEGIN VERIFYING). When you return to the Stably widget, you will see a notification screen that says you have been successfully verified. Click “Start buying/selling crypto” to continue.
Step 4 - Mint testnet dUSD
If Fedwire and dUSD are no longer shown, you can click on the testnet dUSD faucet link above again to reconfigure the Stably widget while still logged in.
You can also manually select the Fedwire payment method in the “From” field and dUSD in the “To” field. Enter the dollar amount that you would like to mint in the “From” field ($25,000 maximum). Then, enter a valid wallet address to receive your testnet dUSD. Click “Proceed” to continue. Review your order carefully on the next screen and click “Confirm.” This will take you to the deposit confirmation screen.
That’s it! You do not have to do anything else at this point. Wait for about 1 minute and the screen will automatically update to show that the transaction has been completed. You can now check your wallet to view the freshly minted testnet dUSD.
How to obtain testnet frxETH
To pay network gas fees on Fraxtal Testnet, you must also obtain Fraxtal Testnet frxETH. You can refer to Fraxtal’s documentation on how to obtain testnet frxETH from public faucets.
You can also follow the instructions below to obtain testnet ETH on Holesky and bridge it to Fraxtal Testnet as frxETH.
Step 1 - Add Holesky to your wallet
If your wallet doesn’t have Holesky Testnet added already, you can manually add it using the following network information:
Network Name | Ethereum Holesky |
RPC Endpoint | |
Chain ID | 17000 |
Currency Symbol | ETH |
Block Explorer |
Step 2 - Obtain Holesky testnet ETH
Click on the faucet link above to access the Holesky Testnet ETH faucet. You can ignore the message that says you need a minimum gitcoin passport score. Simply enter your wallet address and click “Start Mining.” After a few minutes, you can click “Stop Mining” and “Claim Rewards.”
Step 3 - Bridge Holesky ETH to Fraxtal
Click on the Fraxtal Testnet Bridge link above. Select ETH in the drop-down box and enter the amount you would like to bridge over (remember not to bridge the maximum amount of Holesky ETH in your wallet in order to reserve some for gas fees). Then, click “Deposit” and approve/submit the transaction in your wallet. You will then receive Fraxtal Testnet frxETH within a few minutes.
How to earn dT Points with testnet dUSD
Once you have both testnet dUSD and frxETH, you can begin interacting with the dTRINITY application (app.testnet.dtrinity.org). You can also swap your dUSD for other testnet assets with existing liquidity pools such as FRAX, sFRAX, sfrxETH, etc.
To earn points, you need to lend, borrow, swap, or LP testnet dUSD on dTRINITY. For more information, please refer to our Fraxtal Testnet Campaign Guide.
